Almond Scrub Bar

Scrubs come in many forms. Salt, sugar, sisal gloves. This recipe uses almonds for scrubbing and all the good things in cocoa butter and shea butter.

So what do we need?

50gr of cocoa butter
30 gr of shea butter
30 gr of almonds
A mold for the bar

chop, grind or use a kitchen appliance to reduce the almonds to small particles. Melt the cocoa butter and the shea butter. Once melted, you can add the almond and stir until you get an even texture.

Now comes the challenging part, pouring the mixture into the mold and making sure the almond particles are spread evenly. It depends on what type of mold you have. You can either wait for the mixture to become a little more solid before pouring it into a mold to make sure you get an even texture, or poor the mixture into the mold and stir until  it becomes a little more solid. I guess the key is just to keep stirring to prevent the particles from sinking to the bottom. Once the mixture is a little more solid the particles are less likely to sink.

So how to use this bar. First of all: resist eating this. It looks and smells like a white chocolate bar filled with nuts. I mean you could eat it but it's not very delicious.
Hop in the shower, do all the stuff you need to before using the scrub bar. Turn of the shower, grab the bar and rub it onto your skin in a circular motion. Once your done you can wash off any particles left on your skin. The reason I think you should save the scrub for last is because this bar will also leave a soft layer of the butter goodness, helping your skin feel soft afterwards. And you don't want to wash off all that goodness right? Let the bar dry once you're done to prevent mold from growing on there.
